D’mani Thomas

D'mani Thomas is a Black, queer, defender of Oakland. He is a recent graduate of UC Berkeley, where he was a member of the 2017 and 2018 CAL Slam national poetry team. In 2018, he helped his squad win the “Best Writing As a Team” award at CUPSI. His work often meditates on death, resurrection, sexuality, and wanting. His work can be found in the Cerurove literary magazine, MARY: A Journal of New Writing, or in his self-published chapbook, "Talk About Me and Other Ways I Stay Alive.”
